Rotorua Airport Limited is searching for a candidate to sit as an observer on its Board of Directors.
This opportunity provides first-hand exposure to the role of a board, its decision making and operations, as well as training and mentorship designed to provide this observer with essential skills that they can carry through to their own business.
Observers will learn about:
The issues confronting the organisation.
The fundamental principles of the work and function of boards.
The roles and responsibilities of board members.
Financial processes.
Other governance priorities.

For 12 months from appointment, the board observer will participate in all aspects of RRAL board work without voting rights.
The preferred candidate would have no prior board experience and own a business within the Rotorua area. The role suits someone who can contribute knowledge, experience and/or ideas to assist the company to achieve its key priorities.
