Airport Airside Security
The Airside environment contains many inherent dangers and Security is an important part of staying safe. All persons entering the Airside Area must have appropriate identification. This can include an AVSEC Identity Card, Pilot Licence with photo ID (e.g. driver licence or passport), or NZ Police, Firefighter or Ambulance Officer identity card.
The exception to this rule is passengers being escorted by a pilot or crew for the purposes of boarding or disembarking an aircraft.
AVSEC Identity Card means an airport identity card with photograph issued by the Aviation Security Service or its agent, on behalf of the Director of Civil Aviation under Civil Aviation Rule Part 19 after security screening of the relevant person.
